What You Will Do
They are a partner to peers in Manufacturing, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Environmental Health/Safety and Quality to create solutions and processes that achieve zero harm initiatives, yield perfect shipments, stable inventory levels, and optimal efficiency. They promote a performance based culture focused on providing Johnson Control’s customers with an exemplary experience, absorb Johnson Control’s Leadership Essentials and demonstrate them in the day to day execution of their tasks.

How You Will Do It
  • Ensure that all distribution work is performed in a safe & efficient manner in adherence to company policies, local, state, federal and international laws.
  • Lead operations in a manner to promote safety & achieve zero deviation to all applicable regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, FAA, and IMO).
  • Build a positive high-performance work environment through equitable treatment and employee engagement.
  • Responsible for servicing domestic & international customers.
  • Assist in the development and support of regional distribution strategies to achieve high service levels & optimal inventory placement.
  • Directly impacts business profitability & customer experience. Operational responsibility for end results, planning, and finances/budget; sets policies & business strategy for the NDC operation.
  • Develop & manage Inbound, Outbound, Return & Value Added Service processes to ensure the highest levels of on-time service, quality & efficiency.
  • Must be able to work seamlessly across multiple functions within the organization to understand requirements & lead change management in order to deliver enterprise wide programs.
  • Provide a comprehensive understanding of customer needs; identify & interprets changes in internal/external customer requirements.
  • Assist in developing meaningful metrics regarding warehouse activity & performance.
  • Review & monitor the achievement of financial/operational goals & standards.
  • Lead the identification, development & implementation of Continuous Process improvement, Kaizen events & Six Sigma initiatives involving Safety, Quality, and Productivity along with other cross functional opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree is required or 5 years related experience in Logistics operations or Supply Chain Management is required
  • Workplace safety/Zero harm is a priority focus.
  • Knowledge of transportation systems operational nuances (Small parcel, Less than Truckload, Truckload, Intermodal, Rail, Air, Water).
  • Skill in leadership, organization, and communication is required.
  • Start-up and Operational Stabilization experience is desired.
  • Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements as well as the ability to multi-task & to shift priorities easily.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word & Power Point.
