What you will do:

Johnson Controls is developing the next generation of parts programs for our service network.

Our Building Technologies include tailored, AI-infused service solutions such as remote diagnostics, predictive maintenance, compliance monitoring, advanced risk assessments and more. Our Applied Equipment organization is responsible for the development, productions, and service of commercial and industrial HVAC systems including Chillers and Air Handlers.

As a Parts Business Development Manager within our Applied Equipment Aftermarket division you will be responsible for generating a platform for the new product introduction and channel connectivity objectives through all service network and community.

Specifically, you will drive all functions related to developing and maintaining Parts customer relationships to ensure maximum share of wallet.

This includes finding, generating and developing new channel partners and retaining current customers in order to sell the company’s products to end-users.

 

How you will do it:

  • Assists channel partners in selling and promoting JCI Applied aftermarket parts loyalty programs to reach optimal sales and profit levels. ·
  • Differentiates and leverages Johnson Controls product offerings from competitors based on the total benefit of doing business with Johnson Controls. ·
  • Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns and actions accordingly.
  • Astute business acumen and communicates effectively with channel partners. ·
  • Develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
  • Manages ongoing sales process and responds to and anticipates customer needs. ·
  • Using account management principles conducts quarterly strategic account review sessions, semi-annually prepares and conducts “joint team meetings” for assigned JCI team members along with identified key players in the strategic account.
  • Builds and fosters team relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. ·
  • Manages channel conflict between distribution channels where necessary.
  • Acts as the liaison for Johnson Controls Applied aftermarket parts to the channel partner regarding parts product support, promoting new products offerings, and targeted part categories ·
  • Works with marketing to develop and action marketing campaigns, and provides channel partners access to vendor training where required. ·
  • Frequently rationalizes the current key and targeted customer portfolio, ensuring resources are focused on those customers with growth potential. ·
  • Attends sales meetings and reports sales activity, new account development, and searches out new channel sales partner opportunities. · Possesses knowledge of the product lines to create awareness and demand for products with existing and potential customers.

 

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree required · Minimum of 5-10 years aftermarket experience in both direct and indirect channels ·
  • Experience selling a made to order product, service, or aftermarket parts in both direct and indirect channels ·
  • Able to relate to people at all levels, communicating both on a technical and non-technical basis. ·
  • Demonstrated exceptional analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. ·
  • Possesses excellent presentation skills and proficiency at making one on one and group presentations. ·
  • Able to travel a minimum 30%. Preferred ·
  • Experience in commercial or industrial HVAC (Chillers, Air Handlers, RTUs..etc) industry and/or aftermarket parts ·
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC product lines
