What will you do

  • Sensormatic Solutions, the leader in Loss Prevention, Inventory, and Traffic Intelligence Solutions, is looking for a leader who is passionate about delivering emerging technology solutions based on AI/ML in a lean startup mode for the newly formed incubation team. This position will drive product/solution strategy, build a comprehensive portfolio of AI/ML solutions and offerings, help in leading all aspects of solution lifecycle management, and ensure the success of this exciting and growing business!
  • You will lead HW & SW Product/Solution Management for AI/ML within Sensormatic’s incubation team on a global level. Your goal will be to co-develop emerging AI/ML based solutions with retail customers and drive market adoption & profitable revenue growth within the Retail industry. You will drive strategic product roadmaps that meet global customer needs handle external suppliers and lead internal cross-functional teams to successfully market and launch high impact solutions. 
  • As product manager you will frequently participate in high-level global customer, analyst, and strategic partner meetings to present product roadmaps and strategic perspective. The candidate will also support Sensormatic marketing and public relations activities through speaking engagements and media event participation.
  • A key accountability of this position is the selection and deployment of Sensormatic’s products as well as partnership offerings to build out a global platform. The platform enables enterprise customers to run coordinated, scalable systems through a common, interoperable distributed infrastructure. The platform construction is a complicated cross-functional team development effort that will require knowledge and expertise across multiple fields closely working with sales, installation, and service organizations.

How will you do it

  • Responsible for developing business cases, market requirements, and product definitions through a diligent “outside-in” Voice of Market and Voice of Customer approach. 
  • Work with customers, executives, and business line stakeholders to define the problems to tackle with AI. Help prioritize and rank the solutions, develop business cases.
  • Organize professionals from business lines, data scientists, and AI engineers to create shared goals and specs for AI products.
  • Operate in a lean startup mode with customers to evolve & develop the AI product
  • Resolve engineering development priorities, as well as business development opportunities both organic and via partnerships.
  • Responsible for portfolio and lifecycle management cradle to grave.
  • Proactively work with others to ensure product roadmaps address customer needs, while also providing Sensormatic secure first to market opportunities that fit into larger JCI initiatives. 
  • Lead product development process activities associated with all product and solutions to guarantee quality evaluation, resulting in successful market launches.
  • Work with other functional areas of the company, including sales, marketing, operations, strategic sourcing, service and installation, finance, legal to provide direction, and collaborate on all new products and product improvements. 
  • Collaborate with Sensormatic Solutions marketing, business development, and sales organizations to better understand vertical market customer needs and provide product mentorship and presentation support for Global accounts. 
  • Support, collaborate, and prioritize the day-to-day activities within a cross-functional team of highly qualified and productive product and solution managers. 

*This role is 100% remote and can sit anywhere in the United States*

What we look for

  • BA / BS degree in a business or technology-related field. MBA preferred. 
  • 5-7 years of shown ability as a product/solutions manager in a related industry or field. 
  • Our perfect candidate will have experience optimally launching new SaaS products to market from start to finish.
  • Looking for someone who has technical aptitude and a holistic understanding of AI technology to translate customer issues into solutions!
  • Having a background with sophisticated technology, and knowledge of data processing or statistics is highly preferred. 
  • Proven experience in leading product management and development efforts to develop and launch innovative technology-based solutions. 
  • Having hands-on experience or proven understanding of data and models as an AI Product Manager is a crucial skill.
  • Experience within the AI/ML space demonstrating Video technologies and others.
  • Experience with solutions comprising various technologies including wireless, IP networking & Video, analytics, IoT, enterprise software development, and data management. 
  • Experience with developing and marketing hosted (SaaS) and licensed or subscription-based solution offerings.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills, collaborative problem solving and decision-making skills, and project coordination/management. 
  • Ability to empower and rally individuals and cross functional teams within the organization working on a modified Agile Methodology or Kanban approach.
  • Significant experience collaborating with internal (sales, development, operations, marketing, etc.) and external constituents (customers, analysts, partners, etc.)
