Business Development Manager for Smart City

What you will do

This position is responsible for business development and building capabilities & practice for Smart City verticals for India in order to achieve inorganic growth strategy in Indian market.
Position JCI as key System Integrator in Smart City, Safe City projects, next generation transportation.
You will be techno-commercial person with domain knowledge of the industry
Manage revenue and margin
Candidate shall be required to engage with Smart City or relevant authorities for understanding the requirement, position JCI as System Integration & solution partner of choice.
Responsible for developing and deploying ATCS, CCC, ITMS and CCTV Surveillance and related smart city solutions.
Work seamlessly with sales and other support functions to technically analyze the requirements in RFPs / Tenders and provide strategic input.
Assist Sales team in Pre-sales and proposals
Provide Solution architecture to the projects
Create and engage partner ecosystem for Solution Development and Deployment.
Understanding of smart city concepts will be a must.
Experience in dealing with complex environments.
Excellent people handing and communication abilities.
Identify and work with ecosystem of solution partners and stitch complete solutions to meet customer’s needs
Experience in executing POCs
Ability to work with internal stakeholders for approvals, solution, etc.
Guide delivery team to build skills and transfer knowledge and handhold them to deliver projects successfully.

Shall seamlessly work with different internal functions and share strategic inputs in order to deliver right solution/proposal and services to customers

How you will do it

You shall be innovative and execute the business development strategy and growth plan by demonstrating below efficiently and effectively:

• Strong knowledge of various solutions required for Smart City projects (e.g. Command Control platform, IOT, Surveillance, Intelligent Transportation, Lighting, Parking, Solid waste management etc.)
• Strong communication skill & presentation skills
• Knowledge of application (e.g. e-Governance & ERP software) and Data Center infra and operation
• Effectively collaborate with internal team of sales, engineering & operations
• Effectively evaluate and collaborate with ecosystem solution partner and MSI / GC
What we look for

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering and / or MBA

Industry experience
15 years of experience in presales or solution architect or business development in managing large opportunities / projects in Government / Municipal bodies/ Smart City companies.
3-5 years of experience of bidding in Smart City and safe city projects
3-5 years of experience in project management
