What you will do 

Responsible for the releasing of work orders to the floor schedule department. Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies, for the company by performing the following duties.

How you will do it

  • Purchase all raw materials requirements and MRO
  • Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Creates and maintain purchase orders, following up on PO’s and rescheduling orders as needed.
  • Approves invoices for payment when invoice prices differ from purchase order price and submits correction in Maples software.
  • Release MOs to the floor and proper documentation such as drawings and cut sheets.
  • Maintains auto scheduler on a weekly basis.
  • Performs level loading for all product lines weekly.
  • Tracks and maintains on time delivery and reports.
  • Updates production schedule reports daily and leads the production meetings.
  • Effectively communicates through active listening; acting on input; sharing information in an open, timely manner and encouraging others to do the same. Maintains appropriate confidentiality.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What we look for
Required Qualification: 

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word using MS Windows platform. MS PowerPoint and MS Access experience a plus.
  • Requires knowledge of AS/400 software package such as MAC-PAC or equivalent ERP/MRP system.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
