What you will do

In accordance with corporate policies and procedures, and under direction of the KR Field Procurement manager, the employee shall lead several main categories/commodities of purchasing items in Korea aligned with region/global category organization. The employee also leads implementation of local / regional initiatives, create and/or identify cost savings projects in field, improve the trade working capital. This position is also responsible for KR field supplier management (creation/evaluation/vendor master review/ etc.)

How you will do it

  • Lead main categories / commodity of Korea purchasing items aligned with regional / global category teams.
  • Make category/commodity strategies and lead sourcing for cost saving
  • Responsible for the following categories (commodities) : subcontract labor, some field material (fire detection / fire suppression / mechanical/etc.) and all indirect material
  • Prepare, review and analyze RFx documents, lead or support the negotiations process.
  • Supplier Contract/Price negotiations
  • Proactive collaboration with other business units in order to leverage volumes and common suppliers sourcing
  • Responsible for KR vendor management (vendor evaluation / vendor creation / vendor master file/ etc.)
  • Meet or exceed annual goals related to cost and trade working capital
  • Resolves escalation issues and find resolution regarding sourcing and contracting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the KR Procurement manager.
  • Interface with Finance and AP to ensure processes are in place for vendor payment.
  • Working with colleagues on ad-hock scope

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required minimum 10 years of procurement experience with a focus on sourcing, procurement especially category/commodity management and vendor management.
  • Capability to interface with key stakeholders across countries and regions both internally & externally
  • Leadership Capabilities, Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving, Analytical Skills
  • Proven success researching data utilizing internal and external sources.
  • Fluent in both the English and Korea language
  • In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices.
  • Impact & Influencing, facilitation and networking skills under multi-cultural work environment
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong costing & analytical skills
