Collector, AR Specialist II (Bilingual French/English)

Bilingual (French and English) collections from Business to Business. Ensure the assigned receivables are collected, in accordance with established policies and procedures, while maintaining focal point for customer relations.  Adherence ensures integrity of the AR portfolio and maximizes cash flow for the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage assigned AR portfolio of $2-5M. Review open invoices to identify delinquent accounts.  Initiate and maintaining consistent communication with customers for follow up on these accounts until payments are received.
  • Meet or exceed individual cash targets, which are assigned on a monthly & quarterly basis.
  • Make contact with a minimum of 30 customers per day (via Telephone or email). Address follows ups assigned by AR Manager within the respective timelines.
  • Escalate accounts where financial instability is apparent.  Escalation of accounts includes but is not limited to issuance of discontinuance notices and payment demands, and communicating with internal teams.
  • Work with internal teams and management to identify process deficiencies. Remedy deficiencies through implementation of best practices identified through company initiatives and prescribed best practices.
  • Ensure credit & collection policies and procedures outlined through Sarbanes Oxley are strictly adhered to.
  • Providing support during the Credit Review process for new sales orders/contracts.
  • Make applicable notes on customer accounts as to any pertinent collection activity or customer contact.
  • Handling AR collection related call/inquiries and other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Experience:

  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent 1-3 years of Collections or directly related experience.

Skills:

  • Bilingual (French and English) a must
  • Highly motivated, professionally aggressive individual with ability to follow assignments through to completion. Goal Oriented.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Type a minimum of 35 wpm.
  • Working knowledge of online systems and Excel spreadsheet skills.
