What you will do

  • Under general direction, participate as a member of the Global Sustainability Services and Solutions team to achieve our customers’ sustainability objectives.
  • Works with the development team to identify, evaluate and quantify GHG emission reduction opportunities and track emission reductions.
  • Supports the team with advanced analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and sharing information with accuracy.
  • Be comfortable working with large datasets and serve as creative problem solver when faced with incomplete data or an obstacle to interpretation, able to find ways to generate insights.
  • Help foster creativity and create solutions in an inclusive business environment where all associates are respected and engaged
  • Responsible for the promotion of and adherence to Johnson Controls, Inc. ethics policies.

How you will do it

  • Analyzing and interpreting different types of data
  • Administering data in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Leading all aspects of data integrity reporting
  • Compiling carbon footprint reports
  • Writing reports that inspire our customers to take action
  • Provide the current landscape of, and advance thinking in, carbon accounting frameworks, emission reduction, demand-side vs. supply-side and emissions trading.
  • Produce high-quality written outputs and data visualizations and present them to internal and external partners.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and analysis support related to net zero emission, GHG Protocol, using national standards such as US EPA standards, and Canada’s GHG Reporting Program
  • Provide general technical or operational support to the global development team as required.
  • Provide data analysis for suggested areas of improvement to minimize carbon, and energy usage.
  • Able to analyze energy usage data quickly and accurately
  • High level understanding of energy using systems

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, engineering, statistics, data science or other closely related degree
  • Advanced data analysis experience: Python, SAS or other statistical analysis tools.
  • Possess strong analytical capabilities and ability to manage tasks associated with development of projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others, drive for results, focus on the customer, & act ethically.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working in customer-facing situations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Office 365, eQUEST, EnergyPlus™, Microsoft Project, and various benchmarking tools.
  • Strong proficiency in MS office (excel, word, power point, teams), Adobe, Visio, MS Project, basic Windows environment and internet business application usage.
  • Exhibited growth mindset!
  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Have spent 3+ years working in performance contracting or energy services business with emphasis on statistics, Bayesian data analysis, or equivalent.
  • Fully competent in analysis and assessment of facility systems.
