What you will do

Location - Norman OK or Wichita KS

Demand & Supply Planning Manager (Focused on New Product Integration and End of Life)

Manage and coordinate and be the key interface between Supply Chain and all other cross-functional teams to strategically source and ensure a strong supply strategy in the New Process Integration & major Engineering Changes.

 

 

How you will do it

 

  • Responsible for material planning, forecasting, and readiness to new product development, supply qualification and factory readiness.
  • Administers end-to-end NPI processes, manages functional collaboration for launch readiness, and reports potential risks for directions and/or mitigation plan.
  • Lead and ensure the alignment between the cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Planning, Sales, Purchasing, procurement, Factories, etc)
  • Lead clear to build (CTB) for pre-production build phases
  • Propose optimized supply planning to ensure on-time build schedule. Drive closure of materials issues
  • Work closely with Engineering to manage multiple or alternate source qualifications through build management
  • Lead NPI materials process improvement
  • Ensure new product releases are aligned with the Product Life-Cycle Phase/Gates and the products are efficiently and accurately released through the ERP Systems.
  • Work with the assigned functional leaders to track and coordinate all program deliverables, highlighting key program risks and putting plans in place to mitigate those risks, providing regular reports/updates on program status.
  • Manage the flow of materials per project requirements including analysis of supplier capacity and capability to ensure their ability to supply parts with on-going adjustment of material flow for adequate line fill and inventory optimization.
  • Interacts with suppliers to ensure appropriate support and execution of NPI deliverables as well as participate in managing supplier relationships and performance.
  • Active engagement in process improvements to continually increase efficiency and effectiveness of product development and supply chain processes.
  • Ensuring the complete documentation of new products including the BOM, ERP parameters, vendors, LT, others
  • Serves as the point of contact to the engineering and product development team to confirm supplier readiness in terms of production capacity and approved critical parts manufacturing prior to key product milestones
  • Review and analyze trends in Excess and Obsolete inventory
  • Own and manage all processes contributing to reduce excess and obsolete inventory
  • Responsible for Inventory reserves analysis
  • Ensure appropriate transition plans are in place to work down finished goods and raw material inventories
  • Work with others in the organization to develop inventory-related policies and procedures. Document and communicate those policies and procedures to stakeholders
  • Establish the life cycle cost for components and define the total life cycle cost of having in inventory over the life of the product. 
  • Analyze the total cost of a new product and end of life inventory write-offs
  • Track each inventory item through its product life cycle and monitor its consequential demand pattern
  • Responsible to adjust your reordering parameters to match demand and reduce your stock levels down

What we look for

Required:

 

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, computer science, or a certification in
  • operator or vendor management, such as the APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) required
  • 5+ years or comparable professional experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) supply chain management experience. New product Introduction experience is critical for this role!
  • Project/Program management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability/experience working in constantly changing environment
