Business/Team Partnering

• Together with various IT business partners, responsible for establishing application (both legacy external facing and digital) roadmap and IT strategies for commercial line of business initiatives across functional and technical areas in the Asia Pacific region.

• Responsible for building enthusiasm and momentums for mid/long term wins in digital space among business lines

• Support establishment of new digital enabled businesses (managed globally) in Asia Pacific region.

• Responsible for partnering with internal IT team to find opportunities in the services provided to internal customers with digital technologies to automate processes and improve employee productivities in the digitalized way

Technical Leadership

• Champion digital technical roadmap, especially the integration to back end legacy systems.

• Champion digital investments and set digital business goals

• Facilitate the discoveries of technologies, comprehend and articulate relevance and conceptualize use cases to business units leaders to grasp the viability and values of these technology to enable new opportunities in market, product, customer or business model

• Act as an advisor or Digital Architect,  lead JCI in building a sustainable digital landscape for internal and external facing needs

• Primary point of contact in the Asia Pacific region for digital project delivery oversight and creation of the architecture standard, policy and governance

• Collaborate with the Global Information Security  team to ensure that all digital solution have the required levels of security and protection of Asia Pacific business information

• Work with Shared service Application team to provide the support for the commercialized of pilots to mass deployment.

• Collaborate with the Global Infrastructure team to define a scalable and affordable digital technology landscape strategy.

• Work with the Strategy/Governance team to introduce data architecture, application architecture and digital technology standards; and drive agile/lean methodology

Digital Culture leadership

• Accountable for building the IT digital innovation culture, process and framework in Asia Pacific to transform the organization change management to have a different mindset “think digital, think outwards and mobile first”

• Network and partner with people, technology companies, and research companies to survey the digital environment for emerging macro trends and new technologies that offer new transformational opportunities for the business growth.

• Drive the incubation of ideas, determine technologies to implement, evangelize solutions, create proof of concepts, pilot, and establish solutions towards production

• Collaborate with the BUs in rapid prototyping, POC development of selected ideas and support the commercialization of implemented ideas in the organization

People Leadership

1. Nurture and promote digital IT innovation culture in the organization

2. Develop a Digital IT team for sustainability and growth

3. Educate IT members in other departments to acquire digital skills

 

 

• Proven experience in Digital leadership, in transformation and digital technology expertise

• Creative and innovative thinker with strong collaborative leadership skills to work in partnership with people relations and senior leadership teams.

• Exceptional influencing skill to achieve organizational co-operation, buy-in and engagement from top management, business units and internal stakeholders

• Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to be both strategic and visionary, and tactical and hands-on; a leader who can inspire their people and grow their capacity as professionals.

• Exceptional problem solving skills and critical thinking capabilities that can conceptualize laterally, not literally; has a sense of customer orientation and the ability to analyze pain points and create solutions

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, paired with strong interpersonal and presentation skills required to develop positions and present to all levels of management

• Fundamentally understand the business and speak in business / profit & loss terms

• Ability to deliver scalable and innovative solutions through technical proficiency and a collaborative team environment on time within budget

 

Education:

       Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business or comparable field with business focus preferred or in Digital space with similar qualifications

       15+ years of experience in leveraging technology to transform business processes and models.

       10+ years of IT implementation experience with functional expertise in Commercial, Finance, Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing Supply Chain processes.

       10+ years of experience in business customer-facing IT or other non-IT role.  Or, previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad-based information systems, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.
