What you will do
The Director, ERP deployments – Americas reports to the Executive Director, IT and is responsible for technology enabled business transformation initiatives and regional IT leadership of ERP programs.. The position is responsible for end-to-end ERP transformation programs and upgrade initiatives for Tier 1 and Tier 2 ERP solutions. The position is also responsible to design and architecture responsibilities for current in-flight ERP programs across global products including Business Intelligence solutions supporting global products the company.  

How you will do it

  • Lead end-to-end business focused ERP transformation programs in the region and upgrade initiatives for Tier 1 and Tier 2 ERP solutions including organizational functions, governance, and implementation planning/road mapping.
  • Develop deployment strategy, guidelines, roadmaps, deployment sequence, staffing model and manage annual demand
  • Accountable for regional ERP implementation programs to deploy the enterprise template including all aspects of the project on schedule, time and budget (e.g. Solution architecture, Design, Build, test, launch, hyper care and transition to long term support)
  • Lead and manage ERP implementations, from initial concept to completion; oversee full project life cycle with ownership; ensure successful project delivery to include full implementation from initiation to deployment for every module and within the project scope through demonstrated transition to operation
  • Accountable for deployments estimations, demand planning, budgeting and work with Program managers for CAPEX/OPEX and CAR processes within the guidelines of the organization. 
  • Orchestrate multiple deployments /roll outs and serve as escalation point and lead resolutions all issues and risk related to projects from the region.
  • Promote common standards and methodologies in all areas relating to ERP applications and deployment roadmaps. 
  • Work with the IT PMO function in order to consistently deliver project on time and within budget.
  • Participate in evaluating the proposal responses to RFPs and serve on the committee to select a competent vendor
  • Ability to bring lessons learned and best implementation practices from ERP implementations.
  • Manage deployment play book and guidelines to enable standardization across deployments.
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how the solution will address requirements, while maintaining alignment with best practices.
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance requirements during project execution and collaborate with PMs for audit ready practices and documentation.
  • Provide leadership for project or regional deployment teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and meet project milestones.
  • Support PMO to prepare cost and schedule estimate(s) and develop project plans for all phases of the project.
  • Present status reporting to key stakeholders. Report on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, test and development management activities, ensuring accurate and reliable communication, including performance issues, to internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging project sponsors, business leads, key stakeholders, and project teams to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of related systems to ensure the new ERP system integrates with related systems. Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
  • Manage and direct procurements, subcontracts, services, and other financial obligations necessary for completion of the Project.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence. Be proactive, forward thinking and analytical.
  • Manage: 

1) the day-today regional deployment activities and resources, and chair the deployment management team meetings; 

2) project scope, risk management, communication and changes through the change management process;

 3) process improvement initiatives, assessing current and future state solutions contributing to improving the success of the project; and, 

4) on-going Quality Control and participate in quality issue resolution.

  • Oversight post go-live support, supporting internal staff and the subcontractor to fix system bugs and/or configuration changes.

What we look for
Required

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree  in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or business specific field.
  • Must have led 2-3 large ($15 million+) ERP implementation projects successfully
  • Experience in implementing SAP S4 for a medium to large organization’s roadmap in a leadership position.
  • 10+ years of Management of ERP Implementation.
  • Experience with a cloud-based ERP deployment and project methodologies
  • Exceptional writing, organizational, time-management and planning skills.
  • Ability to Communicate and present to Steering Committees, Directors, Project Sponsors and Strategic partners.
  • Ability to lead/drive project team.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills include the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Excellent leadership communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge.
