What we look for

• Ten (10) or more years of experience supporting quality related work, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience overseeing a large quality organization including recruiting employees, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance and overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Proven leadership attributes that fosters organizational trust. Service leadership mindset preferred.
• Demonstrated experience performing administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and actively engaging in personnel development and performance management.
• Ability to direct daily work activities, build rapport, and motivate quality managers/supervisors, quality engineers, inspectors and technicians.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 system development, implementation and maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, while maintaining compliance with corporate policy/procedures.
• Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical programs.
• Ability to work well in a team based environment.
• Self-Motivated and assertive with the ability to make important decisions with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in a science related field.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training. Six Sigma Black belt preferred
• Experience with Ferrous and Nonferrous fabrication and welding of Defense industry products supporting the Navy.
• Working knowledge of government/military and aerospace designs.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as TIPQA.
