  • Maintain a commitment to Johnson Controls Safety, Environmental and Quality policy
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of training programs
  • Assist in preparation of site surveillance audits, generation of audit reports
  • Assist in the implementation of Risk Assessments, Job Safety and Environmental Analyses (JSEA’s), and other related tools i.e. SWMSs/JSEAs
  • Effectively work with local business and employees to facilitate consultative processes
  • Liaise with Line Managers to ensure that EHS and QA implementation strategies and processes are in place
  • Communicate relevant EHS Documentation, including toolbox talks and Safety / Environmental Alerts.
  • Assist with the coordination of the EHS Information System, including data entry, and generation of reports as per business requirements.
  • Assist in the coordination of staff and sub-contractor inductions and other EHSQ related training


  • 100% compliance with Johnson Controls Environmental Health, Safety and Quality Management System (EHSQMS)
  • Assist in the updating and maintaining of Johnson Controls Pacific EH&S/QA procedures manuals and processes
  • Assist in the facilitating of in-house training and co-ordination of external training courses
  • Assist with the facilitation of company EHSQ Induction processes
  • Promote and drive safety, environmental and quality policies and practices within state(s)
  • Assist in company injury management and return to work processes
  • Support business in preparation of EHSQ plans for tenders and projects
  • Monitor the usage of energy and materials within the state and work towards the reduction, reuse, and recycling to improve environmental efficiencies
  • Assist in conducting audits and inspections as required ensuring effective identification, assessment, and recommendations, implementing measures and controls

  • Reporting - collate performance levels within all Lines of Business
  • Records - Maintain hardcopy and softcopy documentation within State. Eg:- Job Safety Environment Analysis, Risk Assessment, Safe Work Method Statements, Induction Register, etc
  • Audits – assist in the conducting of EHSQA audits in line with the annual schedule. Prepare and participate in external site EHSQ certification and compliance audits, e.g. AS/NZS4801, ISO14001/9001
  • Education – assist in the delivery of induction and safety training matrix items for all Lines of Business
  • Compliance - Report any hazard or unsafe or unsatisfactory workplace health, safety or environment practice identified during inspections or audits
  • Industry experience with 2+ years (desired) in an EH&S/QA related field
  • Preferred industry experience - Construction/ Industrial/Hospitality
  • Current driving license – required for site visits
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyse, interpret and disseminate information to all staff within the state
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
