What you will do
Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in New Freedom, PA. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below.

How you will do it
Interns will be paired be paired with engineering staff to perform testing and technician responsibilities as well as assist with test data analysis.
• Operations include working from drawings, charts, work requests, procedures, specifications, standards, task lists, and verbal instructions
• Use software tools and calculations to analyze test data and compare results to expectations
• Modify and prepare equipment for testing
• Ability to use appropriate material handling equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices.
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Be aware of, and have an understanding of the Health & Safety Policy. You have the responsibility to incorporate the Health and Safety concepts when carrying out procedures and work tasks.

Commitments of 8 to 12 weeks are available with positions available for immediate start.

 

What we look for
Required Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited institution, and completion of the sophomore year is required.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred
• Demonstrated problem solving skills required

Additional Information
• Overtime Status: Non-exempt
