What you will do:

The GM, LATAM Applied Products, is a business team leader and products expert responsible for growing the business through effective management of an assigned profitable product portfolio aligned with customer needs and the business strategy.   The position will have accountability for the Applied Product P&L for LATAM, which will include the revenue generated from Applied Equipment shipped to LATAM, achieving the sales volume, market share, market share growth, and competitive positioning and advantage.  The position must be a subject matter expert and will be a strategist and visionary that knows how to tactically implement and deliver on all aspects of the product lifecycle. The position must also have channel management experience and develop a go to market strategy that leverages the strengths and scale of both a direct and indirect channel.  They will be responsible for the product business in the LATAM region, supporting other regions and all channels.  Responsible for profitability of product portfolio.

 

How you will do it:

  1. Drive the execution of product and market strategy of the Applied Product business in LATAM.
  2. Drive product business plans in accordance of commitment to the company
  3. Create strategic product roadmap for product priorities across markets and channels in conjunction with channel leaders.
  4. Develop and execute an Indirect Channel distribution plan. Identify Channel partners by country to grow market share throughout LATAM.
  5. Commercialization: bring new offerings to market in alignment to market needs and strategic product roadmap.
  6. Alignment of our product strategy in coordination with engineering and product management for product roadmap.
  7. Alignment with channel on development and delivery of product marketing including Competitive Analysis, Value Proposition, Positioning and Collateral Development
  8. Deliver pre-sale and post-sale technical support.  
  9. Deliver near- and long-term product value for the company as well as superior product satisfaction and loyalty of the customer
  10. Drive market assessment, competitive landscape, customer requirements, and portfolio gaps/opportunities with a focus on LATAM market.
  11. Align measurements with channel sales organization (i.e. sales volume, market share, market share growth, competitive advantage and forecast accuracy)
  12. Prepares budgets, creates businesses plans, and solves internal issues as they arise
  13. Delivers full P&L for LATAM for Applied Americas.  

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, MBA or appropriate graduate degree highly desirable
  • Requires 15 or more years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to execute new initiatives and business development
  • In-depth understanding of HVAC offerings and capabilities in the specific product line
  • Broad knowledge of the business and technology trends
  • Must demonstrate excellent presentation, communication, writing and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to adjust strategies and approaches quickly as conditions dictate.
  • Possesses a combination of good process, conceptual, business analysis and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to coach and develop team
