Facilities Maintenance Manager - Balboa Naval Medical Center

What you will do

Supervise the staff assigned to general facility maintenance and maintenance of the elevator systems. Communicate with client and O&M team on all issues concerning execution of the contract.

Location: Balboa Naval Medical Center (military experience not required)

Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment

Vacation: Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation per calendar year

How you will do it

1. Responsible for hiring, training and scheduling the staff needed to fulfill O&M contractual obligations.

2. Communicates with client and other facility occupants to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance our opportunity to secure “contract extras”.

3. Maintains and updates all assigned systems.

4. Develops and implements an employee training and development plan.

5. Provides regular management reports as requested by the O&M team and the client.

6. May be required to be on call at times to provide telephone assistance as well as emergency response to the facility.

7. Ensures compliance to all city, state, and federal license and certification requirements.  Maintains and submits all records and documents to proper authorities.

8. Reviews all work and assures performance in accordance with established safety procedures.

9. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.

10. Performs other duties as required.


What we look for
Required

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
2. Five or more years experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment

3. Five or more years experience in operations and maintenance (O&M).
4. Two or more years of experience supervising or managing teams.

5. Demonstrated leadership abilities.

6. Able to manage and train personnel.

7. Able to deal with customers and others at all levels. 

8. Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment.

9. The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance required. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)

Preferred

1. Knowledge and experience working with elevator systems maintenance
