What you will do

Under general direction, responsible for preparing, reporting, and analyzing financial statements in accordance with management and legal reporting requirements. Overall, responsible for the general ledger, planning and forecasting, and monthly closing/reporting. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees/management and have a working knowledge of GAAP.

How you will do it

  1. Make journal entries into the General Ledger with overall responsibility for General Ledger maintenance.
  2. Prepare and analyze accounts and trial balances at the local level.
  3. Develop annual Plans and quarterly Forecasts and provide detailed variance analyses.
  4. Lead the Closing process (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and generate/distribute monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reports.
  5. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform detailed Working Capital analyses.
  6. Contribute to the development, review, and distribution of accounting and internal control policies and procedures. 
  7. Develop, analyze, and update Estimates-At-Completion (EAC’s) for various government contracts.
  8. Complete required quarterly tax reports.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

What we look for


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.  Minimum of 5-7 years of broad financial experience in a Manufacturing/Government Contracting environment or 5-7 years of experience as an Accountant at a business unit.  Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with strong problem solving capabilities.  Familiarity with IT systems related to finance and operations. Individual PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel. 



Familiarity with Deltek Cost Point, COGNOS reporting, Hyperion Enterprise, Actual Cost Systems, FAR, and CAS is desired.
