At Johnson Controls, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as our new Global Strategic Account Manager of Facility Management Partnerships. You will be based in Europe, and serve as Johnson Controls’ interface for some of our largest global partners that have centralized decision-making.


What you will do

As our new Global Strategic Account Manager, you will work with the global leader of one of our Facility Management partners, and you will advance the client relationship through strategic account planning and management. Your key goals will include maintaining and developing our existing market share on a year-to-year basis by understanding our clients’ goals and helping them achieve them.


You will join our Global Enterprise Account team, which is spread across the globe and cover all lines of business within Johnson Controls. The Global Enterprise Account team helps increase the business, revenue and opportunities in each region by introducing new / additional stakeholders and revenue opportunities, as well as empower coordination from a global level.  The Global Strategic Account Manager acts like the overarching quarterback of the partner / customer from a global / cross-regional standpoint.


This role is designed to support the Global Enterprise Account team’s strategic direction of being a single point-of-contact at the corporate level for a global Facility Management company partner, while implementing a total Johnson Controls Enterprise approach; representing all solutions, services, and products in all lines of business.


You will report the Director, Strategic Partnerships, Global Enterprise Accounts, and you can be home based or join one of our offices in Europe. You should expect 30 % worldwide travel in this role – mostly in Europe.


How you will do it

In this role, you will maximize 1-2 global strategic Facility Management partnerships globally / cross-regionally on behalf of Johnson Controls. This includes empowering the interactions with key Facility Management stakeholders in each region, as well as successfully developing relationships with the Facility Manager’s key end-customers + verticals, resulting in increased engagement, revenue, and relationship penetration.


You will also be expected to build and maintain internal relationships within both Sales and Operations as well as coordinate with numerous internal contacts in all regions of the world. This is a requirement to ensure successful pre- and post-sales support of our partners’ and clients’ needs.   


Finally, you will work effectively with peers and leadership; prepare and present during quarterly strategic account planning and review cycles for all accounts under management; hold quarterly business reviews; and maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline in order to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.        


What we look for

  • Global experience.
  • Previous strategic account management experience.
  • Industry experience within Facilities Management, Fire Protection, Security, HVAC, or Building Automation.
  • English Fluency.

Above criteria are essential for this role. It is also preferable if you hold a relevant degree e.g. within business or marketing, and possess knowledge of the European market.
