What you will do:

You will be part of a broader team in the Product and Channel Learning organization within Building Technologies and Solutions in Johnson Controls and will be based in Singapore. In this role, you will work closely with team members, field leaders and executives around APAC to set up new programs for both new and existing Service operations personnel.  You will be responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining curriculum that is aligned to the specific needs of field Service operations in roles such as Service Delivery Managers, Customer Service Agents, Service Operations Assistants, Customer Account Managers, Field Service Technicians and Engineers. You will do this by working collaboratively with colleagues, immersing yourself in this fascinating business, bringing creativity and hard work to every project you do, and being open to learning new skills and technologies every single day.


How you will do:
  • Improve the performance of the field Service operations teams through learning, application, experiences, and performance support. 
  • Investigate new opportunities and develop effective programs that are impactful and inventive.  
  • Align your ingenuity and innovative ideas with the global strategic plan of the business and the team.  
  • Affect the company’s bottom line through your deep knowledge of products and processes.  
  • Conduct multiple comprehensive needs assessments for each role within the field Service operations business. 
  • Design skill assessments and competency models based on analysis of a variety of field Service operations positions.    
  • Design and plan career path development programs based on newly created competency models and skill assessments for each operations position and job.  
  • Identify customized learning needs. Work with an internal design and development team to produce these learning elements. 
  • Use your strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of SMEs and internal customers 
  • Deliver parts of the programs if required.  
  • Analyze business needs and directly link performance outcomes to the business metrics. 
  • Define and manage quality and metrics of all program elements.  
  • Incorporate new product learning as appropriate that has been developed by the larger team.
  • Manage project timelines and delivery schedules, as well as track and measure results. 
  • Be a driver for global standards and quality outcomes.  
  • Be willing to travel 20-40% of the time.

  • Technical- JCI’s portfolio of products is complex, so we need someone who is quick to grasp how building environments are created and business lines organized.  Don’t worry, we’ll help you with that!
  • Educated – Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Engineering, Educational Technology, Education, or something along those lines.  A Master’s Degree would be fantastic!
  • Creative – Can look at a project and find alternatives.
