What you will do

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Tax Lead with flexible/home working options, overseeing international tax compliance and projects with a focus on direct tax.

How you will do it

  • Tax planning and tax optimization, including review, analysis, and assistance with the reporting of financial information for the company's foreign owned companies with a view towards identifying direct tax reduction opportunities
  • Reviewing various calculations and other analysis required to support tax planning projects predominantly in Switzerland
  • Prepares and/or supervises completion of tax projects and analyses as requested by management with collaboration with the Regional Tax Manager, respective functional areas and US country Leads
  • Coordinates with other tax team members, executes, and prepares research and computational analysis of US International tax and Local Foreign tax issues and considerations in relation to transactions and planning initiatives
  • Keep up to date on tax law changes, cases, rulings and regulations and assist with tax research
  • Assistance with international components of global tax provision process, preparation/review of US GAAP tax provision reporting (FAS109), assistance in estimation of FIN 48
  • Assistance in tax audits, tax controversy, preparation and response related to tax audit requests predominantly in Central and Eastern Europe and Switzerland
  • Research complex tax issues that impact profitability, complying with tax laws, analysing tax legislation and respective tax initiatives, including OECD BEPS compliance (DAC6, etc.)

What we look for:


  • Experience working with large multinational Corporate Direct Tax structures
  • Working knowledge of Swiss (preferred) or German Direct Taxes, including International Tax
  • Fluent in both English and German
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Independent thinker and self-starter
  • Ability to effectively adapt to changing priorities and work under time pressure


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with master’s degree in Accounting/Tax or Law degree
  • Previous experience in a large multinational tax consulting firm e.g. Big 4
  • CPA certification or a Tax Advisor qualification (Steuerberater)
