What you will do   
  • Develop implementation approach for Application Lifecycle Management, Application Rationalization, Business Capability Mapping and associated project governance activities. Align with JCI and adopt existing global standards and tools.
  • Day-to-day planning, support and facilitation of Application Lifecycle Management, Application Rationalization, Business Capability Mapping and associated project governance activities.
  • Determine the future strategy of an application, translated into actions, so that the application can provide support for the company processes in the future. Align and coordinate various components in an application landscape and mutually adjust and optimize the larger or radical investments and changes. Determine application’s technical quality, functional quality, operational quality, impact of developments and changes in the business process, policy and the environment of the application, impact of changes in the organization, users, information provisioning and others. Determine the commitment and willingness to invest, and other preconditions, potentially interesting or necessary technologies, developments of existing technologies, availability and value that it will provide for the application. Create possible scenarios, capability mappings, roadmaps and blueprints. Determine the investments, benefits, advantages, disadvantages and the extent to which the requirements are met. Identify and/or update the current portfolio (existing and used applications, size, used resources, relations between them, replacement or investment value). Determine the current quality of the IT portfolio (strengths/weaknesses), functional quality, technical quality and operational quality. Determine bottlenecks in the current situation. Create an overview of the developments at a generic level and of all the appropriate changes at the level of various applications. Determine the impact of these developments. Assess the total capacity for change of the organization, the users and IT. Determine the scope, appropriate or forced technological developments, connections between various technological developments at the application level and the total impact. Create several scenarios and overall architectures (or modifications), drive decision making.
  • Act as the ultimate authority on architectural design to address business problems. Provide guidance through complexity of solution architecture options and long term roadmap for the solution.
  • Provides direction for process design integration and process change activities
  • Consults on strategic and/or complex enterprise projects of diverse scope at country level that require specialist expertise and high levels of technical leadership.
  • Where required, act as Lead Solution Architect or account champion for specific Global projects.
  • Design and deliver the solution ensuring technical integrity of the solution. Remains aligned to requirements and value delivery throughout the project making sure that various project solutions will work together to deliver value.
  • Works under self-management within project and/ or task constraints and will determine solutions, methods and procedures on assignments/projects.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues and partners to enhance and deliver product and service features.
  • Leverage relevant templates in the leadership of project solutions in own specialist area worldwide, and curate best practices and templates, providing mentoring in the creation and adoption of templates and solutions within JCI
What we look for 
  • Experience, knowledge and developed interest in the following: Application Lifecycle Management, Application Rationalization, Enterprise Architecture
  • Process models (e.g. RUP, XP, V -Model, CMM, Agile, Scrum, Kanban), Java development, J2EE, wiki scripting, JavaScript and Velocity scripting, Subversion, Git, Perforce, Plastic SCM, Requirement Engineering, Configuration Management, Version Management, Change Management, Problem Tracking, Project/Task, Management, QA, Issue/Defect Management. Knowledge in product related tools such as IBM Rational Doors, IBM Rational RTC, PTC MKS Integrity, Jama Contour, Atlassian Jira, Cognition Cockpit, Blueprint Software, HP ALM, Microsoft TFS
  • Experience in stakeholder facing roles and strong communications skills
  • Knowledge and experience partnering with both business stakeholders and IT professionals
  • Facilitation, communication and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work with large cross-functional teams
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and fully understands and adopts JCH values and leadership model in daily management work
  • Experience in sizeable multinational corporations preferred. Ability to manage multiple regional projects and initiatives effectively
  • Experience in enterprise application platforms (ERP, CRM and Cloud services)
  • Experience with governance processes
  • Understanding of software delivery and code
  • Understanding of APIs, micro services and event driven architecture
  • Excellent knowledge on IT solutions, new technologies and understands technology trends
  • Good mix of analytical/IT consulting and business background. Positive, collaborative and solution-oriented attitude
