What we look for
Required Qualifications – Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering/Information Technology or related field.
• 8-12 years of overall industry experience working on enterprise cloud based IT projects
• The lead DevOps Engineer will also need good communication skills in his intensely collaborative role, leading to more efficient execution of collaborative duties across the engineering department and the business
Required
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, design, development and deployment
• 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying cloud based SaaS solutions
• Experience with REST API services using Java
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (e.g. Agile software development, test-driven development, design patterns, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation) and continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Experience with deploying high availability, high performance, multi-regional, multi-data center cloud applications
• Strong skills with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bamboo, Ansible, HELM charts etc.
• Strong understanding of security best practices in GCP or any Cloud environment
• Experience in managing, monitoring and maintaining production infrastructure
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform and Google managed services highly desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Hands-on Experience
• Terraform, HELM charts, Java, Spring Boot, Microservice design
• Docker, Kubernetes (GKE)
• CI/CD (Jenkins, Spinnaker). Infrastructure Automation, Security
• Python / Ruby scripting
• Cloud Governance (SLA monitoring and reporting, Log management, Auditing)
