What you will do

Responsible for developing a logistics strategy to optimize product delivery to customers.  Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.  Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.  Operates across multiple functions and interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers


The position’s primary responsibilities are control and coordination of the District inventory operation.


Scope includes, but not limited to receipts on the ACE inventory system and ACE PO Browser, transfer of all material within sub-inventories, transfer of material to Job Cost.   Responsible for all inventory control processes, procedures and practices with accountability for total District inventory accuracy, and complying with all Sarbanes/Oxley regulations.

How you will do it
Maintains all shipping and receipts logs.
  1. Unload vehicles when necessary and validate material against packing slip

  2. Prepare and process shipments for internal and external customers

  3. Reinforcement of procedures and processes for receipts, issues and transfer of all materials. (Includes, but not limited to)

    1. Receipts from ACE In transit and Job Cost Projects
    2. Receipts for ACE PO Browser and Job Cost PO Browser.
    3. Transfers inventory to TR sub-inventories, other Districts, or Job Costing.

    4. Reconciliation of material from Job Cost and Customer credit returns.

    5. Reconciles miss-shipments of material with TSP, vendors or carriers.

    6. Coordinates all RMA requests, processes and credit return to TSP or vendors for Excess, Warranty, or Repair material.

  4. Maintain District warehouse sub-inventory quantities and bin locators.

    1. Separation and identification of Expensed and Inventory items.

    2. Separation and identification of customer owned inventory or Job Cost Project related inventory.

    3. Maintains a secure, neat and clean warehouse that conforms to Sarbanes/Oxley regulations.

    4. Responsible for compliance of any local, state and federal health, safety and security standards (ie. Hazardous material disposals)

  5. Administer and coordinate all regular Cycle Count (warehouse and trunks) and Annual Physical Inventory programs.

  6. Assist with creation and justification of District target stock levels to support automatic replenishment.

  7. Administer appropriate processes to protect District assets from damage, theft and loss. 

    Ancillary Position Functions:
  8. Works with Dispatcher’s to reconcile TR sub-inventory problems when errors arise during the Service Request TASK closing process.

  9. Identify areas of improvement or non-compliance with processes.

  10. Training of back up personnel to ensure seamless inventory operation during times when the Logistics Coordinator is out of the office.

  11. Assist District Purchase agents, as requested.
  12. Assist District management to ensure that ACE user forms are filled out correctly and completely.

  13. Check in and stage equipment and inform the appropriate parties.

  14. Review and correct negative inventory report and strive to reduce. 

  15. Manage the District Fleet Program.

What we look for


Associates Degree or higher preferred  

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations and/or inventory control.

Ability to do occasional heavy lifting

Proficient in computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc)

Excellent verbal, mathematic and written skills
Effective decision making skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
