What you will do
  • As a part of the Total Rewards COE the position drives global Programs and manages large scale project for the organization
  • Ensures cost efficient and market driven Total Rewards procedures and standards
  • Supports and maintains compensation objectives and programs in line with business strategy, as well as the global JCI TR practices
  • Supports, steers and controls regional Human Resources Representatives in the application and usage of JCI compensation procedures and standards
  • Ensures that the JCI Total Rewards practices stay in line with the market and the global JCI compensation practices
How you will do it

Project Management:
  • Manages complex, global/ regional enterprise-wide projects utilizing the resources of other regions
  • Serves as Leader for significant projects through various stages from concept definition with the business through implementation
  • Leads an indirect team which maybe of substantive size
 

Business Unit support and relationship:

  • Provides consulting services to regional Human Resources-/General Management to ensure alignment with policy and business objectives
 

Total Rewards Expertise:

  • Based on comprehensive knowledge of Total Rewards related topics leads annual processes for merit planning and incentive payments for certain area (region, BU), ensure its correct implementation
  • In liaise with Compensation COE Global Incentive team takes part in the incentive plan review, help to monitor and improve incentives plans for e.g. sales or manufacturing operations
  • Provides support to Global BU Director Total Rewards in administrative part of RSU process
  • Acts as expert in the area of labor market and trend analysis
  • Initiates complex analysis of organization’s total compensation packages and based on market research and trend analysis recommends policy adjustments and forecasts cost implications to business in order to remain competitive in the industry
 

Total Rewards Analytics:

  • In addition to management of complex project management may provide analytical services on topics like internal and external equity, cost of labor, pay trends, recommendations on salary packages, salary increase guideline and correct usage of current grading system, etc. 
 
Other:
  • Handles all Total Rewards related tasks for a region independently and ensures all Total Rewards policies and practices are being implemented
  • Under supervision formulates, develops and designs policies and practices in the organization
  • Initiates complex analysis of organization’s total compensation packages and based on market research and trend analysis recommends policy adjustments and forecasts cost implications to business in order to remain competitive in the industry
 HSEE :
  • Follows all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training
  • Follows required emergency prevention and operational controls
  • Reports all accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies
 Quality:
  • Applies, executes and maintains function related Business Operating System (BOS) issues
 

In addition to the above mentioned tasks other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined


What we look for
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master of Business Administration preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of experience with all facets of broad-based compensation North American region as well as significant exposure outside of North America
  • Knowledge of Human Resources principles, namely performance evaluation, payroll, and benefits
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of the legal, labor and economic environment of the assigned region
  • Ability working toward deadlines, multi-tasking and operating in an environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to build partnerships with your compensation team members, Human Resources and managers, even when they are located in other parts of the world
  • Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to “see the bigger picture”
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional skills with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with Human Resources systems
