What you will do


Provide day to day front office delivery and execution of core HR customer service with daily interactions ranging from plant leadership to hourly employees in a union manufacturing environment. Duties performed may include word processing, software and HR system access support, file organization and maintenance, operation of office equipment, answering phones and greeting visitors. 

 

Performs a variety of HR related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with company policies.


How you will do it

 

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude that likes working in a team atmosphere and is willing to assist with any project that comes their way.

 

GENERAL CLERICAL SUPPORT: provide general administrative support to include mail processing, interoffice packets, fax distribution, routine filing with adherence to record retention policies, and copying/maintaining supply of forms in the front desk area.

 

TELEPHONE SYSTEM: ensure all phone calls to the main office phone lines are answered with appropriate documentation and follow up actions taken.

 

FACILITY SUPPORT: provide a professionally-maintained office environment.

 

WORD PROCESSING: provide word processing support i.e. emails, letters, memos.

 

FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT: provide administrative human resources support for plant personnel and management; assist plant personnel with inquiries and access to systems for payroll and benefits related information.

 

HUMAN RESOURCES SUPPORT: provide support for onboarding of contingent and full-time workers including initiating requests for systems access, creation and editing of user profiles in timekeeping system, new hire packets, creation of personnel files and data files for new hire processing, and issuance of security badges.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:  Perform other administrative and special project support as appropriate.


What we look for

(Required)

 

  • High school diploma and 3 - 5 years administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (strong Microsoft Excel skills).  
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload accordingly.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.

 

What we look for

 (preferred)

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred and 1 – 2 years of experience in an HR related function or an equivalent combination of the two.
  • Bi-Lingual – Spanish
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Experience working in a union manufacturing environment with daily interactions with union staff, hourly employees and leadership
  • HR System experience (Workday/Kronos/etc)
