What we look for

1. Bachelor’s Degree and/or APICS Certification with two (2) to four (4) years experience in either Inventory Control, Production Planning/Scheduling, Purchasing or as a Master Scheduler within a manufacturing environment. In the absence of a 4-year degree in an appropriate field of study, this position requires an additional six (6) years of related experience.
2. Previous experience in Inventory Control dispatching or shop scheduling either by forward or backward methods.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint), Internet and E-Mail.
4. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion.

1. Understanding of Bill of Materials
2. Engineering or mechanical aptitude; understanding of how to read blueprints, schematics and drawings
3. Understanding of Supply Chain methodology
4. Project management experience. Experience with Microsoft Project highly preferred
5. Experience with MRP or ERP systems. Experience working with Deltek Costpoint highly preferred.  
6. Operations experience working with labor reports for production planning
7. Experience working in a machine shop environment

The primary mission of Johnson Controls Navy Systems is to supply Chilled Water Air Conditioning Plants, Refrigeration Systems and associated equipment to the US Navy and US Coast Guard. Johnson Controls Navy Systems is a part of the Johnson Controls Federal Systems business. Our robust, high reliability products are designed, manufactured and tested in York, PA to military and other stringent customer specifications. Most of our designs are custom engineered for the specific application.
