What you will do


The Market Intelligence and Insight Director, Buildings, Asia will partner with the Buildings Asia Pacific leadership team and strategy colleagues in developing winning strategies and identifying new growth opportunities and leads.


This role will focus on understanding market trends and opportunities and on developing and implementing strategies across APAC, with a focus on city-level strategies.

 How you will do it
  • Lead strategy-to-action development and evaluate potential market expansion/investment opportunities
  • Define new ways to grow Buildings Asia through growth ideas (market entry, business models, JV, M&A, alliance, etc.) beyond traditional core and adjacencies.
  • Lead program management for special or strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with strategies and achievement of defined outcome
  • Coordinate with regional leaders of operational and sales initiatives focused at a branch or local market level
  • Support market intelligence and analysis programs with city level focus
  • Partner with Global Product groups and Strategy teams, collate market data and establish, synthesize and disseminate market intelligence

 Key Measurable/Deliverables for the Position:

  • JCI revenue and profit growth in Asia Pacific
  • Insightful identification and quantification of trends that matter to JCI
  • Driving from insights to results
What we are looking for
  • MBA or equivalent degree(s)
  • Combination of consulting background and industry experience preferred
  • 5 or more years work experience including experience leading strategy and transformation projects
  • A people person: committed to developing people, managing successful change, collaborating
  • Familiarity with products and processes in infrastructure development, construction, smart cities, etc. desirable
  • Commercial business savvy with strong analytical mindset.
  • Self-driven and strong motivation for success
  • Detail oriented and prior experience in large project management
  • PowerPoint and strong presentation skills at senior management team meeting
  • Business fluency in English, additional Asian language skills valued (especially Japanese and/or Chinese)
