What you will do
This position will be responsible for augmenting our commercial sales efforts. Additionally, this position is responsible for implementing the strategy and the tactics to effectively manage and grow DX Ducted relationships within commercial National Accounts, including the implementation of strategy to cross-sell to internal and external customers.

This position will also assist the Sales channel input into the PDP process for commercial products.

How you will do it
Facilitate commercial sales growth working in conjunction with the DX Ducted Products RAMs and associated regional staff.
Support account management philosophies throughout the Regions and reinforce that potential customers are segmented as defined by account management (key, target, managed, and maintained).
Serve as a clearinghouse for commercial product requirements and communicate those needs to the Engineering groups for consideration in the PDP process.
Meet or exceed AOP as defined for commercial sales, with a primary focus on commercial & Residential National Accounts customer base.
Drive new product sales growth to emerging channels the fall within the National Account scope.
Produce accurate forecasts for both existing and new business opportunities within National Accounts commercial sales.
Drive account management principles and assess potential customers and opportunities within National Accounts to new and existing national accounts sales managers.
National Accounts, transition from a “farm system” of the key and targeted customer list to a hunt and new business portfolio with an emphasis on customer and market growth. Frequently rationalize the current key and targeted customer portfolio, ensuring resources are focused on those customers with growth potential.
Proactively facilitate customer account provisioning that meets the optimum business requirements inclusive of the Regional Structure.
Link customer objectives to product solutions delivering a total value offering that creates a competitive advantage. Differentiates and leverages Johnson Controls product offerings from competitors based on the total benefit of doing business with Johnson Controls.
Analyzes the market and current business performance and develops sales strategies consistent with the Building Efficiency mission and objectives.
Active participation in appropriate industry forums, including but not limited to ASHRAE, HARDI, etc.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in the HVAC industry to include the Commercial segment and National Accounts sales, with demonstrated year over year growth. 
  • Understands the current business environment including competition, purchasing and business trends.
  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including Microsoft Office software.
  • Familiar with managing within an assigned segment of the business P&L.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability.
  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills. 
  • Excellent team and project management skills.
