What you will do


The Johnson Controls P3 site at the University of California, Merced, has posted a current job opening for a full-time, on-site Project Planner Scheduler.  This position is located at the University of California, Merced campus and will be responsible for the support of the P3 UCM site. This person will have daily contact with onsite technicians and contractors to maintain the UCM Project 2020 site. Ideal candidate will have an understanding of facilities operations, experience with a CMMS system, excellent computer and administrative skills, and be a quick learner.   Come join our growing team or refer someone you feel would be a good fit.


How you will do it


  • Maintain CMMS database including ensure proper categorization and timely dispatching of technicians, equipment history and status, generation of work orders, and overall operation of CMMS system to maintain contract compliance.
  • Maintain critical inventory tracking system for air filters, PPE, etc.
  • Maintain PM schedule in CMMS system.
  • Schedule vendors for work on site and document when work is completed.
  • Assist with Contract Deliverable Requirements, including gathering data and building reports.
  • Attend various meeting; document and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Respond to telephone calls and greet visitors at site locations; be the main POC for the campus community via email and phone.
  • Compose various forms of correspondence to maintain clear communications with all departments on campus.
  • Coordinate monthly safety meetings for site.
  • Organize and maintain various filing systems, including SharePoint.
  • Provide back up for site purchasing duties; create POs, invoice resolution, etc.
  • Assist with scheduling and organizing project activities including meetings, training, etc.
  • Perform general office duties for site including research, finance, contract management, admin support functions, while having a knowledge of company and P3 departmental procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned.





What we look for



  • Three years experience in a Facilities or construction environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel, Word required.
  • Experience with CMMS software.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • Perform sensitive and confidential tasks.
  • Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Ability to comprehend contract language, implement and apply as needed to ensure contract deliverables and compliance are achieved.
