What will you do

Leads and directs all plant employees in quality improvement process and ensure that the product is procured and built in accordance with customer and design quality requirements.

Provides leadership for new systems development, implementation, procedures and any related quality activity. 

Supervises quality efforts relating to assembly areas in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with specified business requirements.

 

How will you do it

 Insure effective implementation and ongoing effectiveness of High Performance Teams and plant Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.

Assesses current state performance, identifies gaps, visualizes and establishes a plan to get to the future state, monitors progress and shares/acquires best-in-class ideas and systems.

Direct the High Performance Team process, interacting with the teams, supervision, managers, star guides and other parties, and plant manager.

The incumbent assists in the performance of failure analysis for warranty and initiates and recommends corrective action.

The Supervisor interfaces with customers for resolution of any problems with in-process or final product acceptance documents.

The incumbent maintains a current ISO 9001 registration by ensuring all guidelines are followed.

The Supervisor recruits, retains, supervises and conducts performance evaluations for subordinate personnel to ensure a well-qualified and motivated department. 

Participates in the review of design, manufacturing, purchasing and test documentation to ensure that the design and customer's requirements are met on assigned products.

Evaluates discrepant material and conducts Material Review Board (MRB).

Provides quality support to suppliers, the design engineering group and to the customer service department.

Reviews plans for overall defect-reduction programs, monitors their effectiveness and implements appropriate adjustments.

Works with Purchasing to adjudicate vendor claims for recovery of monies that result from vendor related quality problems.

Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.

Understand and drives safety standards throughout plant.

Coordinate, develop and supervise High Performance Teams to drive process improvement and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Ensure all plant personnel understands and participates in High Performance Teams (HPT).

Identify gaps in Best Business Practice metrics (BBP’s), and then works with all levels of the plant in establishing and executing a strategy for improving them.

Assess the current state of the plant’s Operations; Develop Future State vision and drive and monitor the implementation plan.

Ensure process owner involvement in SOW development and team leadership.

Using standard tracking and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality, and savings goals.

Collaborate with leadership to develop a plant CI Roadmap, driving breakthrough or Best-in-class performance that balances resources between internal plant efficiency and external customer-focused effectiveness projects.

Assists Process Owners in identifying barriers to project success and helps to drive changes when needed.

Document improvement process learning and shares best practices with other facilities.

Assist Plant Manager in any strategic initiative that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant.

What we look for

Required

Bachelor’s degree

Two (2) years of experience in working in the development of a process improvement, in a plant setting environment.

Familiar with ISO 9001 guidelines

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.

Leadership experience supervising others in a process improvement quality environment.

Ability to hire, coach and develop direct repots, while dealing with conflict resolution, and creating an environment based on diversity and inclusion.

Ability to travel 25%

 

Preferred

MBA degree

ISO lead assessor certification

Five (5) years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities required
