Procurement Operations (Ariba) Analyst – Procurement CoE





The Buysmart program at Johnson Controls has deployed Ariba P2O with guided buying to several North American locations.  The deployment is on-going to other locations globally.  As part of the Buysmart Program all Field and Indirect Procurement will be conducted through Ariba P20.  Ariba P2O interfaces with SAP, Oracle and BaaN. 

Johnson Controls also uses Ariba Contract Management.  This role will support Ariba P20 and Ariba Contracts Management


The Procurement Operations Analyst acts as first support for Ariba users.  The analyst will answer requests and queries.  Certain items will be sent to tier 2 support but the analyst will be the owner and interface to the Ariba user


Furthermore the Operations Analyst will be an administrator for Ariba Contract Management and will approve Contract requests

Responsibilities Include:

·      User issue tracking

·      Ensure processes and checks that user queries are answered or forwarded to the appropriate parties. 

·      Escalation of issues when required

·      Support the Ariba Operations Lead to

o   Manage the catalog enablement process in Ariba – work with commodity managers to implement new catalogs and audit existing catalogs

o   Conduct regular system checks e.g. inactive users, underused/ unused catalogs

o   Buysmart reporting – metrics and KPIs


·      Work with a diverse user base from purchase requisitioners to Procurement Leadership

·      Manage the Supplier Master Data for Ariba

·      Act as Ariba administrator for Contract Management




·     Knowledge of Ariba P2O and Contract Management

·     Understanding of Procurement processes

·     Excellent organizational skills

·     Highly motivated

·     Experience of user support processes and systems

·     Flexible team player who can work in a global organization.

·     Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Spoken – ability to communicate across levels in the organization

·     Bachelor degree. 

·     2-4 years experience
