What will you do

Johnson Controls Procurement Center of Excellence is seeking a Procurement SCF Program Manager to support and manage strategic projects, lead process improvements and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement function.  The position will report directly to the Director of PTP and will focus on the Supply Chain Finance strategic program.  You will collaborate with multiple functions across the organization and will work to achieve superior performance in delivering improved operational effectiveness and efficiency to meet the trade working capital goals.  The person in this role will interface with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Vendor Master Teams other functional groups as needed.   This role will manage a small team of 3-4 direct reports.  The candidate should also be able to liaise with external functions as well as managers, executives and business users.

How will you do it

  • Responsible for managing day-to-day activities of small team of 3-4 direct reports
  • Lead a team of matrixed resources to achieve program objectives
  • Manage the Supply Chain Finance process from analysis of supplier opportunity, supplier outreach and communication, supplier onboarding and program metrics.
  • Development, deployment and training for Supply Chain Finance procurement programs
  • Ensure change management activities provide for efficient and full adoption of the program 
  • Ensure the requirements of key stakeholders are incorporated into the project plans. 
  • Manage and influence team members from other functional groups, working in a matrixed environment ensuring the project outcomes align with the objectives of the business.
  • Manage project schedule, project activities, and resolve issues.
  • Work directly with the user team, functional leads and technical leads, as well as customer executives, managers and business users, as needed.
  • Effectively track project deliverables from team members, customers and vendors to ensure they are delivered and up to standard. Identify and track issues to closure.
  • Generate documentation for status reporting, project progress, activities accomplished, open issues, and next steps.
  • Ensure all project documents are safely archived.


What we look for

Required, Capabilities, Experience and Degree Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferable with business focus) required
  • Experience and knowledge of corporate finance or Supply Chain Finance programs is a plus. 
  • 4+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated previous success leading teams with direct reports and in a matrixed environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of working knowledge experience in the Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement or related environment.
  • Strong communication skills - written and oral.
  • Professional maturity and a sense of urgency and accountability
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the project management life cycle is required.
  • PMP Certification a plus.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus
  • 100% Customer Focused towards internal and external customers, focused on driving value and solutions that further the Company’s goals and objectives.
  • Process Mapping background preferred
  • Possess 3 years of experience in project management, 3 years of experience in program management, vendor management, information systems, business processes, internal controls, procedures, and improvement initiatives. Experience with business systems implementation is expected.
  • A fast learner, hands-on, attention-to-detail, committed to proactive continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
