What you will do
He/she will be the entrepreneurial manager of the Selection Navigator platform, with the goal of long-term customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, market share growth, and increased profitability for our customer and internal Product Business Units. You will manage the product life cycle, from ideation to end-of-life, and be accountable for virtually all aspects of the business having some direct authority over the resources required to “make it happen”, all while utilizing the SAFe agile development methodology.

How you will do it
  • Establish position and value proposition message for assigned products and communicate to the business.
  • Complete a detailed SWOT analysis for assigned products and communicate to the business.
  • Work with marketing and sales to participate in trade shows and provide sales support as needed.
  • Work with Product Owners to transform features, user stories and solutions into business value. 
  • Drive feature priorities through a well-balanced intake process. 
  • Act to gain support and commitment before decision-making activities.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide assistance in closing sales, as appropriate.
  • Express positive expectations of others.
  • Be a strong strategic communicator and speak to, and for, the business and represent the organization’s company-wide goals and initiatives.
  • Understand and can defend to a knowledgeable customer the differences in the technologies of assigned products, as well as those of competitive products. 
  • Be an expert in product and operational issues and their applications.
  • Define product roadmaps and wins that define the evolution of a product line.
  • Offer a compelling Vision, Scope and Requirements document for new product development.
  • Develop key documents, including business plans and competitive analysis.
  • Exercise knowledge of business requirements related to BT&S strategic plan.
  • Recommend product and system solutions, and provide feedback to product management leadership.
  • Prioritize activities based on an awareness of the overall business goals.
  • Define new product development projects.
  • Deliver, through our supplier, a roadmap which supports our vision.
  • Be an advocate for change by looking for further advancement in technologies which reduce our total costs while adding differentiated features, across all product lines direct and indirect.
What we look for
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ BAS/Controls or HVAC experience in product or program management, marketing, or sales.
  • Strong communication and demonstrated leadership.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
Preferred
  • MBA or MS degree.
