We are seeking a Project Coordinator / Quality Manager to support our team based at Fort Bragg. Primary work will be in support of the HVAC controls and building automation systems (BAS) teams for our energy efficiency projects primarily doing electrical installation, testing, and verification work.

Location: Fort Bragg, NC (military experience not required)

What you will do
This position is responsible for supporting our Johnson Controls team at Fort Bragg reviewing and approving project submittals and supporting the Quality Control functions, including the coordination, supervision and documentation of inspection and testing services for the project(s) assigned, primarily in support of the HVAC service and installation teams, both with mechanical and control systems. The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project’s contractual requirements and maintains the standard of excellence established by the customer

How you will do it
• Works with customer(s) to address and mitigate deficiencies in quality of service, contract scope of work, warranty items, or other related issues.
• Manages quality control inspection program to ensure compliance with performance work statement.
• Participates in the review of design, installation and documentation to ensure that the design and customer’s requirements are met on assigned corrective work orders.
• Develops systems and procedures to clarify preventive maintenance work instructions.
• Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality control activities.
• Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality control activities and provides recommended process improvements to management to drive efficiencies.
• Leads the CQC team and conducts Quality Control meetings at the job site.
• Resolves client problems and/or conflicts as it pertains to quality and maintains open communication with the client including providing regular written and oral reports to ensure satisfaction.
• Provides technical expertise and guidance to account teams and staff and manages resolution of complex problems.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
• Generate reports on work performed and not deficiencies.  Provide daily updates and reports for review and submission to the customer
• Performs other duties as required.

What we look for

• Qualified to evaluate performance in various trades. Experience supporting mechanical and electrical teams preferred. Direct experience with HVAC and/or HVAC Direct Digital Control Systems highly preferred.
• Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software.
• Demonstrated planning, problem solving, data analysis, blueprint/schematic reading, organization, inter-personal, and communication skills with proven leadership skills and decision making abilities.
• Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification (within 3 months of hire)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
• In order to meet the increasing demands of our customers and comply with the Federal orders, where legally permissible, we will require all new hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment and submit proof in our Johnson Controls Vaccination Tracker upon hire, unless candidate has a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief precluding he/she from receiving the vaccine.

• Experience with commissioning of HVAC mechanical systems and/or HVAC Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems
• Knowledge of Lon/Lonworks protocols
• Knowledge of the Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Control program standards
• Experience in operation and maintenance practices in the building service industry.
