What you will do

  • The Project Manager for Video ensures video product projects are planned and executed on time and per project requirements. 
  • Lead planning and execution of the video programs/projects for New Product Introduction/launches (NPI) and for changes to existing products: ensure NPI dates are hit at all stages of the Product Development Stage Gage process; products include hardware, software and services; project life cycles run from initial concepts through development to post-launch review; project teams include:  Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, etc.
  • Manage project portfolio activity including data entry/updates to facilitate weekly/monthly reporting and Key Project Milestone reviews.
  • Provide recurring and ad hoc project status reports.
  • May also manage business process and continuous improvement projects which support products and enhance video team effectiveness.

How you will do it

Direct and manage (police) project management activities for the video product portfolio to ensure NPI dates are hit.

  • Enable long term revenue growth and profits (both organic and inorganic) in line with JCI objectives.
  • Possess expertise in a wide range of standard project management methodologies and processes and be an expert in managing multiple projects.
  • Drive to true root cause and implement effective, process-based countermeasures which lead to the desired, sustained process performance improvements using data driven analytical tools.
  • This position does not have direct reports
  • Possess ability to self-direct and exercise independent judgment, managing workload with limited supervision.
  • Champion customer focus in all aspects of the role.
  • Display effective interpersonal skills across all levels of the business.

What we look for

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Experience managing multiple projects and disciplines required.
  • Experience managing projects including global resourced teams preferred.
  • Experience managing technical, security, and/or video products and projects preferred.
  • Knowledge, experience and skills required to launch product programs and projects.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop high performing teams.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Ability to manage project costs and risks.
  • Ability to lead and manage a wide range of initiatives, issues, priorities, etc.
  • Must be willing to travel as part of the role.
