What you will do:
Under general direction and within division policies and procedures, the Quality Engineer designs, develops and implements test and statistical process control procedures to achieve quality specification for all manufacturing processes.
How you will do it:
• Provides quality engineering support to necessary manufacturing operations and new product launches
• Identifies Quality issues and drives corrective actions to resolve them
• Works in a manufacturing environment and applies QA & QC knowledge into manufacturing processes
• Develops and monitors implementation of Quality Control work instructions/procedures within the manufacturing plant
• Supports ISO/TS16949 internal and external Audits
• Evaluates, creates and analyzes PPAP information
• Accumulates, organizes and implements all data generated through process control techniques or laboratory analysis
• Prepares and communicates all relevant data, charts or reports in a timely manner
• Designs, develops and implements sample techniques, control charts, pareto diagrams and any other aspects of SPC
• Leads quality improvement efforts in designated areas with an ultimate goal of improving "zero defects" performance
• Supports quality related process improvement and problem solving efforts aiming to improve product quality. Support Quality Technicians and Quality Control
• Implements QC and QA related root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions
• Establishes quality related controls to track and measure critical processes within the plant
• Interfaces with customers. Conducts on-site analysis and implement corrective actions
• Supervises any special project as assigned by Quality Manager
What we look for:
• Bachelor’s degree; Engineering preferred
• 4+ years of experience in quality assurance 
• Experience with statistics
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment 
• Experience in TS16949 standards and facilitating continuous improvement using formal quality methodology and tools
• Experience as an internal or lead auditor for ISOP or TS
• Quality Certification (ASQ)
• Experience with Six Sigma and/or Continuous Improvement
• Previous experience working in the Automotive industry or with a Tier 1 Supplier
