What you will do

As a Quality Engineer Supervisor, you directly refer to the Plant Manager and a dotted line to our Global Quality Manager. It is your responsibility to work on systemic evaluation of products, services, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met, and that the Company's procedures and KPIs comply with the internal standards and requirements. Reporting to the Corropoli Plant Manager, the Quality Engineer Supervisor will lead the Quality requirements for the organization according to the ISO9001 system developed in the company. HE/SHE will work cooperatively with the BU Operational Quality Manager. A proven Change Agent, the successful candidate will employ world-class Total Quality Six-Sigma and Lean methodologies to drive Process Improvement and Cost-Reduction.  In addition, the candidate will provide leadership and mentorship to develp the culture of Quality and to foster the Continuous Improvement culture throughout the organization. 

How you will do it

  • Management and development of the quality department and its staff
  • Develop and implement quality plans for improvement, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
  • Maintain and develop Quality management system (QMS) Business processes and instructions
  • Training of management as well as production engineers and technicians in systems and quality tools such as PFMEA, 8D, 5S and other, legal requirements and other applicable requirements
  • Continues improvements, management review, Quality goals, KPI’s, Monthly review
  • Ensure Quality high performance in cooperation with our Global Quality Manager
  • Active and prepare external and internal audit and team
  • Assist the external audits for products approvals
  • Work inter organizationally with sales, production, development, planning, R&D and warranty
  • Quality issues management, communicate with business partners, customers, Notify bodies and suppliers;
  • Lean Manufacturing experienced, preferably Green Belt Lean/SS certified or higher
  • Once trained, be a champion of the process of implementing Total Quality principle within the Lean Manufacturing System in the Corropoli plant, according to the Johnson Control Manufacturing systems and as part of the nine basic principles
  • Have a full and effective confidence of the Lean tools and metrics commonly used
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to identify and to execute LSS and VA/VE projects, in order to deliver significant Process Improvement and Cost Reduction to the Business.

What we look for

  • Experience with QA work and knowledge; ISO9001 Auditor qualified preferred
  • Certified Green Belt and Lean Leader, with theoretical and practical expertise in all relevant Lean and Six-Sigma tools and methodologies
  • Proven Change Agent, with demonstrated abilities and successes in influencing and in motivating at all levels of the organization
  • Expert-level communication (presentation, verbal, written) skills-set
  • Strong analytical skills and high level of proficiency with Minitab or equivalent Statistical package
  • High level of proficiency with all Microsoft SW’s (Project, Excel, Visio, PP…)
  • Fluent English
  • Effective Teamworking
  • Knowledge and experience how to work and create processes and Quality demands related to, CE marking, CPR; trained in IPC electronic board assembly is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related fields, from an accredited College or University, with a minimum of 4 years experience in R&D or in Manufacturing, preferably Electronic Industry
  • Post-graduate Degree, with 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Lean experience in Operational (MFG/R&D)
  • QRQC experience is welcome
  • Proved implementation of improvement projects within Organization implementing across-the-board Lean Management Systems
