What you will do

Our Retail Solutions business, a $1B unit of Johnson Controls $30B+ operations is a leading global provider of integrated retail performance and security solutions, deployed today at more than 80 percent of the world's top 200 retailers. Customers range from single-store boutiques to global retail enterprises. Over the past 40 years, our retail solutions have kept hundreds of millions of people safe.

For our Retail Solution division based in Milan, Italy, we are currently looking for an RFID Business Developer who will develop RFID Programs and Projects in Italy within retail customers in order to position TYCO as a High Value solution provider. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the promotion of TYCO consulting approach whilst leveraging RFID capabilities, knowledge and experience throughout the assigned territory.

How you will do it

  • Promote RFID solutions to Tier 1 Retail customers
  • Explore new business opportunities to increase market share in target segments (Apparel, Health & Beauty segment, Grocery , DIY)
  • Coordinate local Action Plans with International RFID organization
  • Establish business relationship with RFID local & international partners (ZEBRA, AVERY,...)
  • Provide specialized sales support to the local KAM’s to improve TYCO RFID penetration.
  • Define RFID strategy for Italy in coordination with Retail Italy Sales Director
  • Achieve RFID yearly goals

What we look for

  • Business and/or economic studies with financial analysis capabilities.
  • Solution Sales training and courses (WCS, Miller&Heiman...).
  • Used to work with standard sales reporting tools (Salesforce, others).
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills at all levels.
  • Analytical, creative, persistent, highly motivated and team oriented and result driven.
  • Excellent communication skills in Italian and English, ideally on a native speaker level.
  • Hard-working attitude, ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Travelling will be required.
  • Flexible attitude, ability working in changing environments, with great organizational skills and good time management.
  • More than 5 years’ experience in Retail sales for ICT and Software, better if experience on RFID Technologies.
