What you will do

This role will be part of a dynamic global team with a responsibility to deliver enterprise scale ‘best of breed’ sales and marketing capabilities supporting our Fire, Security and HVAC business verticals. It offers a successful candidate an opportunity to be at the forefront of helping to define and shape our organizations current drive to standardize and simplify the sales and marketing application landscape and drive towards customer centricity. 
This position will report into the Global Sales CoE leadership team based in Cork, Ireland.

How will you do it

• Participate in planning, definition and execution of projects
• Analyze solution needs to design, test and develop the overall technology strategy, architecture and roadmap for Salesforce platform supporting the Go-To Market functions.
• Work in close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders to create optimum software.
• Provide guidance to a team of System Architects, Salesforce Technical Architects, Data and Integration Architects and technical leads, and give input on performance rating of reporting system architects.
• Participate in the global Architecture function for Johnson Controls Salesforce Application and support a suitable DevOps channel across the organization for Continuous Integration and Continuous Development for Salesforce Applications.
• Evaluate and recommend software upgrades for Salesforce Applications.
• Plan the necessary components, coordination, design, build, integration, development, testing, and deployment of SFDC application technology solutions.
• Provide documentation of Salesforce Applications development and maintenance and work with Lean Portfolio Management to develop enterprise solutions, initiatives that support Lean Budgets via Enabler Epics.
• Participate in strategy for building and maintaining architectural runway, ensuring that applications continue to function normally through software maintenance and testing.
• Lead design of Salesforce applications development models and diagrams to guide programmers through the software code needed for the application.
• Promote Continuous Delivery Pipeline through appropriate design guidelines and facilitate the reuse of code, components and proven patterns.
• Run Application and Design Board reviews to promote a consistent best-in-class solution approach for the Enterprise
• Synchronize system security and quality, production infrastructure, solution user experience (Lean UX), scalability, performance and other nonfunctional requirements (NFRs).
• Support the implementation of ART and Solution Train Enablers.
What we look for

• Extensive experience defining and delivering enterprise solutions.
• Strong experience defining and delivering enterprise architectural solutions on the Salesforce Platform
• Experience in dealing with multi-Org strategies
• Experience with key areas of enterprise architecture, including integration technologies, single sign on, master data management and industry reference architecture
• Experience as a Platform Architect with demonstrated leadership driving technology and architectural transformation in a large matrixed organization.
• Minimum of 8 years working as a Platform Architect
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business management field, or equivalent combination of education, training & experience
• A real passion for transforming businesses through technology
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop and deliver materials that are appropriate for the audience.
• Experience with Agile implementation methodologies.
• Travel of up to 25%, but can be higher or lower based on business and project needs.


• Strong experience in the following business process areas: : e-Commerce, Communities, Lead/Prospect management, Marketing Automation, Account / Contact, Opportunity / CPQ, Analytics, Knowledge, Service (including Field Service), Partner/Channel Management, Incentive Compensation, General Data Management
• Industry experience in Manufacturing is desirable
