How you will do it

  • Develop and lead implementation of global category procurement strategies for enterprise IT managed services, IT professional services, and customer facing technical implementation services
  • Act as procurement lead for major IT implementation including ERP rollouts ensuring best practices, clear documented deliverables, and acting point of escalation for disputes
  • Lead both traditional and non-traditional supplier procurement activities, ensuring timely execution and focusing upon global and regional solutions which improve services and reduce costs
  • Facilitate supplier procurement process and negotiations relative to business requirements and cost, improving JCI’s use of our position in the market
  • Lead supplier contracting agreements and execution, collaborating with Corporate Legal for partner concern of certain risk-related terms and conditions
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with internal partners to increase engagement and develop a robust procurement project pipeline
  • Partner with the IT vendor management team to ensure SLAs, Scorecards, and effective QBRs for our critical suppliers
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to understand the suppliers’ current services for the company as well as additional capabilities
  • Drive cost out targets for the supply management organization; calculate and report savings
  • Drive compliance of enterprise agreements
  • Assist with key supplier issue resolution and risk mitigation, as required
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of marketplace, benchmarks and industry methodologies for all technologies
 

What you will need

Required

  1. 10+ years Advanced Category Management and Strategic Sourcing expertise preferably in IT managed services or experience on supply side around IT services service delivery
  2. Strong background in contracting complex service agreements
  3. High financial acumen with ability to construct and negotiate complex global agreements
  4. Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and drive alignment on complex strategies with the business
  5. Strong analytical skills with ability to manage multiple detailed projects
  6. Global working knowledge of procurement policy, processes and tools
  7. Able to achieve goals, self-motivate, take initiative and generally operate with minimal supervision
  8. Able to challenge status quo and create innovative sourcing ideas that drive cost reduction
  9. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as IT, supply chain, finance, or legal
