This is a new role in a newly forming organization. As a leader in the software strategy and transformation team, you’ll be responsible for working closely with the Director of Software Strategy and Transformation to foster an environment that embraces agility, innovation, and empowerment authentically by partnering with leadership, key stakeholders, and change agents in the organization.

As an Enterprise Program Manager lead, you will be responsible for standing up the empowered culture framework in parallel with action planning around our organizational health results; enabling the adoption of scaled agile by supporting lean portfolio management work; participate as a member of the Operating Systems (OS) team that will be spearheading efforts to achieve the growth goals of JCI’s new innovation program; as well as develop plans to support the organization in resolving impediments to throughput and speed.

How you will do it

  • Lead the scoping, development, execution, and management of the empowered culture program at JCI including strategy and establishing a baseline for the org
  • Build supporting structures and manage programs to foster an environment and talent base that authentically embraces agility, innovation, and empowerment
  • Establish an organizational baseline and facilitate action planning across the software organization for the annual Organizational Health survey
  • Maintain tight alignment to the scaled agile roll-out as a contributing member to the agile communities of practice, especially related to portfolio management and process standardization
  • Spearhead efforts to achieve JCI’s innovation program growth goals including developing and managing a holistic calendar of all engagements and milestones; assisting all members of the innovation program in navigating the JCI organization; Leveraging existing relationships to enable innovation program in achievement of goals; and identifying resources for intrapreneur teams to progress their business ideas

What we look for 

Required 

  • +4 years of expertise, familiarity, and comfort with program implementation and delivery
  • +3 years experience working in agile environments and software organizations; experience working in a global organization is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills: a consistent, open-minded, and transparent style of working
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail with the ability to ask the right questions 
  • Demonstrates an ability to influence and adjust long standing processes as needed
  • Works well across all levels and functions
  • Customer-centric attitude and aptitude for empathy; is comfortable setting aside their own viewpoints to really listen to and understand different viewpoints – this will require challenging your own thinking and acting in new ways
  • Outstanding ability to learn and adapt to new contexts; is highly adaptable to new methods and ways of working, and highly collaborative
  • Self-driven, proactive problem solver with sound judgement
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
