What you will do

This position is involved in all aspects of statutory accounting and is a key role for the Country Financial Services function based in the UK.  This position involves the preparation of Middle East and UK statutory financial statements, notes and reporting. As well as some CFS reconciliation of General Ledger accounts and approval of month end journals.  This position works independently with minimal supervision.


How you will do it

• Reconciliation from US GAAP accounting to IFRS and FRS102 financial statements

• Preparation of annual financial statements incl. notes

• Review and approval of closing entries / monitoring of orderly booking

• Implementation and coordination of external audits

• Central contact for the auditors and the tax department for entities under responsibility.

• Balance sheet reconciliation for certain accounts on a monthly basis

• Assistance with corporate initiated transactions effecting entities under responsibility

• Reconciliation of intercompany billing / recharges

• Determination of provisions and accruals for audit services as well as monitoring of audit fee invoicing

• Preparation of various evaluations for costs by type or cost centers

• Creation of / support for statistics reports

• ERP systems Iscala and SAP desirable

• Close cooperation with the Bratislava Business Center and Indian Business Centre

• Sound experience in the preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS and FRS102

• Ability to work independently

• Experienced user of Excel

What we look for


• ACCA or ACA or similar qualification

• Extensive post qualified track record as an accountant dealing with statutory accounting and Audit cycles

• Thorough knowledge of IFRS and FRS102 and its application in practice

• Proven ability to prepare account analyses and reconcile accounts

• Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach

• Ability to manage projects and see them through to implementation

• Ability to work well independently and work well in a team setting



• Computer competency in the client-server environment using a wide range of application software

• Familiarity with problem solving and process improvement techniques
