Job Title: Strategy & NBD Leader, JCH China

Reporting to: JCH VP and GM China

Business Unit: JCH, Global Products

 

Purpose:

The Strategy & NBD Leader will partner with JCH China leadership team and Global Strategy & M&A team in developing growth Strategy and leading Regional BD execution for enhancing existing business platform and upgrading to new platform, including WOFE, JVs, line of businesses, and vertical markets, to achieve fast and sustainable growth in Region China:

  1. Strategy Role 50%: Study market and competitions, identify opportunities and gaps, and drive strategic initiatives and execution plan, including products, segment solutions, and digital models for growth in existing, adjacent and new market;
  2. NBD Role 50%: Optimize current asset portfolio and generate inorganic growth opportunities including strategic Partnership, Restructuring, new JV, Mergers and Acquisitions, and ecosystems collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Conduct market research, customer demand assessment, offer recommendation, go-to-market strategy, business model design, business case development, and provide fact based insights and proposal in formulation and development of China Growth Strategy.
  2. Work with China leadership team and Global Strategy & M&A team at both strategic and operational level to map out the new business /growth platform for faster and sustainable growth.
  3. Drive strategic initiative and lead cross-functional team projects to deliver Project commitment and meet defined success criteria.
  4. In charge of asset Portfolio management and continuous optimization, to enhance profit making capability and update growth platform in China.
  5. Look for potential strategic acquisitions, partnerships and alliances, and teamwork with M&A team to drive project progression and pass the decision gates according to standard BD process.
  6. Lead deal proposal, stakeholder engagement plan, negotiation strategy, valuation, DD, negotiation for HOA and SPA, Transaction, Integration, and professional handover to operations.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Minimum 10 years of working experience, with professional experience in strategy, asset portfolio management, commercial& new business development, and deal-making.
  • Proven track record of developing/executing on strategies, and making investment or M&A deals.
  • Proven strategic, analytical, creative and implementational skills and possess a well-developed strategy & NBD toolkit.
  • Broad industrial connections and network, including Government officers, industrial leaders and M&A professionals, to predict market changes, generate NBD opportunities for M&A deals, realize cross-industrial collaboration in ecosystem.
  • Proficient written and oral English and Mandarin, with sophisticated communication and presentation skill for internal reports.
  • Certified CFA is preferred.
