What you will do

The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for the Ruskin product business manufacturing, operations organization, and quality function within the Ruskin business with an overriding objective to achieve a world-class manufacturing operation.  The leader is a critical team member of the Ruskin business and the Global Integrated Supply Chain (GISC) for the Global Products business group.  The responsibilities are broad in nature, encompassing, end-to-end manufacturing strategy, design and operational management. This leader reports to the VP&GM of the business.

How you will do it:

You will manage a $278M revenue end-to-end supply chain with fully accountability for NPI, materials, planning, and procurement, advanced manufacturing, engineering, manufacturing and distribution which is comprised of 8 manufacturing sites, with a total of 2,100 employees.  You will translate Product Business Unit (PBU) strategies into operational strategies, ensuring appropriate short and long term capacity, facility and resource (skill) readiness.  You will deliver overall operational performance across the network - cost, quality, delivery, lead time and inventory. You will create and maintain relationships across the network, PBU and GISC and you will leverages COE’s for best practices.  Additionally you will work to build next generation leaders and secure depth in key roles and in each site’s talent bench and you will routinely exports ready talent to other functions and business.  Finally, you will model key positive leadership behaviors that create a positive and interactive culture and deliver high employee engagement.  

What we look for

Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or a technical discipline, Master’s Degree Preferred, with twelve plus years of experience across the supply chain – NPI, planning, procurement, multi-plant manufacturing, and distribution.  Five to ten years minimum experience in a management role with a regional scope required.  Strong financial acumen with ten plus years’ experience working with and reporting on Plant financials include conversion costs, etc.  Ability to influence and work with others in a collaborative manner while ensuring implementation of world-class processes.  A focused leader with a demonstrated career of developing talent and bench strength.  Requires vision, strategy, analytics and clarity to optimize a complex product business organization.  Ability to communicate and plan effectively across a wide spectrum of business units and functional interfaces: customers, commercial channel leaders, factories and suppliers.  Strong strategic business skills and excellent personal relationship skills. Able to travel up to 30-50% of the time.  Executive presentation and communication skills a must. Bilingual English & Spanish a plus.
